Counselling is a helping process that takes place in an atmosphere of acceptance, respect, and trust. Counsellors work with the service users in confidence to help them understand themselves, their behaviours, feelings, and relationships. The purpose of counselling is to help service users identify their personal strengths and develop ways to live more fully.

Mediation is an ‘assisted negotiation process’. The goal of mediation is to facilitate ‘assisted communications for agreement’. Growing out of Eagles Communications, EMCC (Eagles Mediation and Counselling Centre)
was formed in 1997 with the vision of bringing hope to relationships.
When the founders of EMCC established the organisation in 1997, they envisioned
EMCC impacting society through mediation and counselling. It has always been our
endeavour to bring hope to relationships, to rehabilitate lives and to reintroduce
once-broken people as happy and productive members of our society.
Today, EMCC is ever more committed to embodying its founders’ aspirations to promote
peacemaking and pro-actively contribute towards building a society that fosters
and maintains positive and supportive relationships.
