Stage 3: Clinical Supervision in Mediation Practice
The Clinical Supervision of mediation practice is an essential element of the EMCC
Mediation Practitioner Programme. It is a formal, structured process of professional
support. Unlike the mediation practice sessions in the Workshops, these practicum
sessions can be performed individually, with one-on-one supervision by coaches.

Mediation Consultancy
EMCC trainers have observed that often mediation by independent third parties may
be called for in particular situations. For example, a participant in a mediation
workshop may have the skills to mediate a particular dispute, but may not have the
necessary neutrality to perform that mediation effectively. A possible spin-off
from the Mediation Practitioner Programme is the cross-referral of mediation cases
between EMCC and participants.
